The BIE is responsible for realizing the production and material information within time, budget and of high quality and is managing a group of (internal) BIE(jr)’s, IM’s and DM’s

Tasks & Responsibilities
▪ Determining the building structure (components, levels, sections)
▪ Implementing the determined (sub)-lot structure and activities
▪ Determining the division into elements and Special Materials
▪ Entering the installation sequence defined by the PLM’s , packing instructions and
material requests for crates, into the PMF-software
▪ Conform the design drawings, determining and entering into PMF-software the
element types, derivative types, incl. components, in cooperation with the PDM,
and positioning of the elements in the building
▪ Conform the design drawings, determining and generating the Special Materials in
cooperation with the PDM
▪ Determining the material requirement and the material requests of the long and
short lead items
▪ Realization of (timely) materials requests
▪ Realizing the installation drawings
▪ Ensuring in the design the safety and health standards in relation to the production, installation,
maintenance and dismantling of the facade.
▪ Quality of all the production drawings in cooperation with the PDM
▪ Co-responsible for the realization of the production drawings budget and the planning
▪ Drawing up the total material requirements with the use of the PMF-software
▪ Managing a group of (internal) BIE jr, IM and DM under guidance of the PDM
▪ Transferring PMF knowledge to colleagues during work on the project

Your profile
▪ Minimum 2 years of experience in the DE jr, IM jr or BIE jr role or 4 years relevant work experience in the building industry
▪ Bachelor or Master of Mechanical Engineering or Built Environment
▪ Overtime work as required to ensure work schedule compliance
▪ Travel needed to visit other Scheldebouw offices, suppliers or building sites.
▪ Good knowledge of PMF software (r/w), Inventor (r), AutoCAD (r) and Navis Works (r/w)
▪ Ability to work with several Microsoft Office applications
▪ English Language level B1
