As Lead Engineer you develop heavy duty diesel engines with focus on diagnostic robustness.

Tasks & Responsibilities
▪ Develop heavy duty diesel engines with focus on diagnostics robustness
▪ Check diagnostic monitor robustness (false fails, MIL lamp on time, detectability)
▪ Deliver improvement proposal plans for running and future projects
▪ Take part of root cause analysis and resolution process of field issues
▪ Provide input on project requirements at property-, function- and calibration level, based on the experience and analysis of current fleets
▪ Setup robustness analysis early in the development process (i.e. a Monte Carlo alike process with early RCP based OBD monitor updates)
▪ Identify necessary tests, for early test cell and vehicle testing to establish an early diagnostic performance status for upcoming projects
▪ Take initiative to constantly improve related tools and processes
▪ Collaboration in multidisciplinary project teams (i.e. embedded engineering, mechanical engineering, service)
▪ Analyze, summarize, review and report out diagnostic performance of current product to (Project) Management

Your profile
▪ Master degree in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering
▪ 5 years of experience in engine and aftertreatment OBD development
▪ Experience on diagnostic related topics
▪ i.e. OBD monitors, diagnostics for service, scan tool protocols, lamp on time, …
▪ Six Sigma – Green or Black belt
▪ i.e. Statistics, DMAIC, fishbone, boundary diagram, FMEA related experience
▪ Strong data analytics background
▪ Good English skills are mandatory
